The Halifax Regional Food Hub Co-operative connects producers and processors from across Nova Scotia with wholesale buyers (restaurants, retailers, non-profits, institutions) in HRM. We make it easier for you to get your products into the hands of more customers, without having to handle all the logistics yourself.

Started

How It Works

When selling through the Halifax Food Hub, producers manage their own products through our online marketplace. You set your own prices, upload photos and product descriptions, and update your inventory each week. The Halifax Food Hub applies a small markup to support operational costs such as marketing, order management, packing, and distribution.

Our online storefront opens for orders every Friday at 7am and closes Monday at 3pm. By 5pm on Monday, producers receive a pick list detailing the products ordered for that week's delivery. Products are then delivered to the Halifax Food Hub on Wednesday, either directly or through our Valley distribution partner. Our team aggregates and packs orders from multiple producers before delivering them to wholesale buyers throughout the Halifax Regional Municipality on Thursday.
