Join our Board
The Halifax Regional Food Hub is currently recruiting new members to our Board of Directors.
As the Food Hub enters its next stage of growth, we’re looking to broaden the range of experience and perspectives represented on our Board. We are particularly interested in hearing from people with backgrounds in agriculture, entrepreneurship, finance or accounting and business development.
Board members help guide the organization’s strategic direction, provide financial and governance oversight, and contribute their knowledge and connections to support the Halifax Food Hub’s continued development.
If you believe in strengthening Nova Scotia’s local food economy and would like to contribute to a growing nonprofit co-operative, we’d love to hear from you. Previous board experience is welcome but not required.

Ghita Rhammaz (she/her)
Ghita Rhammaz, Owner of Novalea Kitchen Inc, a shared commercial kitchen serving as a hub for small food businesses in the north end of Halifax. Known as Novalea Kitchen and Market, they offer kitchen rental, Moroccan meals to go and catering as well as some groceries.
Ghita Rhammaz, has a background in business management and accounting and has been involved in many community projects and organizations such as Clayton Park association, NSICC and others to help bring the communities together.
